How far in advance should I book my proposal?
We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks ahead for full design flexibility. That said, we specialise in last-minute magic we’ve pulled off proposals in as little as 24–48 hours. If your date is free, we’ll make it happen.
How do I get started?
The first step is booking the Proposal Design Experience.
This allows us to learn about your relationship, design the concept and begin planning your proposal.
Once the concept is approved, our team coordinates every detail so the moment feels effortless when the time comes.
Do you work with same-sex couples?
Absolutely.
Modern Romance Proposals proudly designs proposal experiences for couples of all identities and backgrounds. Every love story deserves a beautiful beginning and we are honoured to create moments that reflect each couple’s unique story.
Do you offer bespoke proposals?
Absolutely. Every proposal we design is bespoke.
We do not offer generic setups or one-size-fits-all experiences. Each proposal begins with a design consultation where we learn about your relationship, your vision and the kind of moment you want to create.
From there we design and plan an experience that feels completely personal to you both.
Can I choose the location?
Of course. If you have a place in mind, a favourite beach, park, or private property we’ll bring your vision to life. If you’re unsure, we’ll recommend stunning Perth locations and hidden gems we’ve styled hundreds of times.
Do you also plan proposals outside Perth?
Yes. While Perth is home, we design proposals across Western Australia and internationally. Travel fees apply, but we have trusted vendors in Sydney, Melbourne, Bali, Italy and beyond.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
Life happens. We allow rescheduling with advance notice (subject to vendor/venue policies). Cancellations may forfeit deposits as we’ve already booked vendors and locked in your date. Full details are in your proposal agreement.
Can you assist with accommodation bookings?
Absolutely, as registered travel agents we can assist with booking and arranging any bookings from hotels, transfers, flights, dinner reservations and more
How does the proposal planning process work?
Every proposal begins with our Proposal Design Experience.
During this stage we learn about your relationship, your vision and the kind of moment you want to create. We then design the proposal concept, recommend locations and begin planning the experience.
Once the concept is approved, our team plan the entire proposal including styling, florals, suppliers and timing so the moment feels effortless when it happens.
How much does a proposal typically cost?
Proposal experiences vary depending on the location, styling and level of experience being created.
Most proposals we design range between $1,000 and $15,000, with luxury experiences such as helicopter or private estate proposals exceeding this.

Will the proposal remain a surprise?
Absolutely.
Maintaining the surprise is one of the most important parts of what we do. Our team works closely with you to plan the timing, arrival and setup so everything unfolds naturally without raising suspicion.
Do you offer photography or videography?
Yes.
Professional photography and videography can be included as part of your proposal experience to capture the moment and the reaction when the question is asked.
